The United Benefice of Sharnbrook, Felmersham and Knotting with Souldrop St. Peter’s Church Choir.
St. Peter’s Church has been fortunate to have a Choir to lead its singing over many years. The Choir in its current form was started by Mary Farnsworth in April 1983. Hugh Jenkins was the organist at that time. Many loyal choir members, young and old have come and gone over the intervening period. We are affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and have attended many of the regular Diocesan Choir festivals at St. Albans Abbey.  We sing at all our 9.30 a.m. Sunday Communion services together with Patronal and Harvest festivals and Carol services at all our three Churches.   We  also sing at weddings and other special services and events. We join with St. Mary’s Felmersham choir for a occasional Choral Evensong and other joint benefice services.   We generally meet fortnightly for practice on a Friday evening and would welcome any one  of any age who enjoys singing to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. We sing a variety of music, from modern worship songs to baroque anthems and we are anxious to continue part harmony singing in our delightful ancient Church.
